USB 3.0 Cables

USB 3.0 is the latest upgrade to USB

providing faster transfer rates up to  5 Gbits which is more than 10 times faster than USB 2.0, The technology will ensure faster transfer speeds are possible for USB3.0 devices including Flash drives, USB3.0 hard disk drives and webcams etc.

USB3.0 will also provide more power to devices which ensures faster charging times over the connectivity than previously seen with USB2.0. One of the added advantages of USB 3.0 is its backwards compatibility with its predecessors.  USB 3.0 A plugs are backwards compatible  however The USB 3.0 Type B connector has a different form factor and thus is not backwards compatible (will not physically fit) with USB 2.0 B devices, USB 3.0 Micro B plugs are also not backwards compatible with older USB standards. USB 3.0 is identifiable by it's blue USB sockets on equipment and cables.
