Memory Cards

There are many forms of memory cards and choosing the correct one can be a trying task,  Memory cards are used to add storage or expand storage options for a number of devices, including smartphones, dashcams, SLR cameras etc,

There are 5 types of memory cards

SD (Secure Digital)  - used in older camera's and older devices

SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) - Can be used in tablets, camera's etc,

MicroSD, Micro SDHC - Used in smartphones or MP3 music players, Dash Cams etc.

CompactFlash - Camera's, Digital Video Camera's

Also not forgetting SDXC Cards, SDXC stands for secure digital extended capacity and it has the capacity from 32GB upwards,  when browsing the SDHC or Micro SDHC cards you may notice the maximum capacity is 32GB anything over the 32GB will be an SDXC card, SDXC cards are ONLY compatible with devices that support SDXC, you cannot use an SDXC card with a device that uses SDHC unless the manual states it supports SDXC.
