The important thing for me is simply the availability of these CDR-Audio discs, and the clear information from Cables4All about the need for them for use with certain audio equipment. I bought 3 packets x10 CDR-Audio discs because I have equipment which explicitly needs them.
Shops which I tried were unaware of the significance of CDR-Audio discs, and did not stock them.
I have a lifetime collection of music on LPs, Cassettes, and CDs.
About 7 years ago I transferred all my Reel-to-Reel tapes to Cassettes.
That was just before the excellent Ion LP2CD deck appeared, and I soon bought one, but I have had little opportunity to use it for the intended project in all the years since I bought it. The Ion LP2CD will copy LPs or CDs directly, and it accepts Line Out signals from any external device.
A few of my LPs, Cassettes, and CDs are precious possessions in themselves, but I keep many others just for the sake of a single good track, or a few of those. The plan is to digitize,sort and compress these many others using the Ion LP2CD onto the vital CDR-Audio discs.
Also I am still finding rare music for sale on LPs, usually needing the digitization process.
