S-video Cables are used to connect the Video signal from PC's, DVD's Amplifiers etc to TV. SVideo connections are sometimes referred to as 4 pin Mini Din, or S-VHS (although this is incorrect).  S-Video gives a high quality video signal by seperating the luminance light & chrominance colour Signals thus enabling for all round better video signal than the likes of Composite Video. S-video displays in Resolutions such as 576i and 480i.

S-Video is also Suitable for PC/ Laptop Connections,  the 7 pin mini din Version is often found on laptops and some older home computers. The Standard S-Video 4 pin Mini Din Cables are suitable for 7 pin Mini Din connections
